Morning Glory Verse

Thou shalt not avenge (retaliate for any hurt) nor bear any grudge against the
children of thy people but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
                                                                       Leviticus 19:18

Thou shalt love the Lord they God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy strength, and with thy mind; and thy neighbor as thy self.
                                              Luke 10:27

Morning Glory Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King
on what would have been his 83rd birthday, we want to thank you for sending
this type of Christ who suffered and died in an effort to save his people from
the bondage of racism.  During the 1960s, he was jailed, beaten, and
eventually killed for his leadership in the civil-rights movement. His nonviolent
approach to change, his perseverance in the face of defeat, and his ability to
inspire people with a dream of equality has given hope where there appeared
to be none.

Thank you for this courageous man whose tenacity stirred Americans and
people all over the world to stand up for civil rights in a nonviolent way.  But
most of all, Father God, thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die on the
cross for our sin. For it is in his precious name we pray and ask it all.   Amen.

Morning Glory Thought to Remember

Everyone can be great.
