Morning Glory Prayer

Heavenly Father,  thank you for the men and women who raised their voices
in defiance of the civil liberties denied African Americans.  

Thank you for those, who in the words of the Negro spiritual by James Weldon
Johnson, even today, lift up their voices and sing 'til earth and heaven ring,
ring with the harmonies of liberty.  Who will continue to march on 'til total
victory is won.

We pray these things in the matchless name of your Son and our Savior
Jesus Christ.
